Discovered by Paul Richard, a neighbor who heard her sing when she was just nine years old, Sixteen-year-old Lydia Waldrop, is a singer/songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee. Since the age of 12, Lydia has traveled all over Western Tennessee and Northern Mississippi, performing as a female vocalist.
Lydia writes a lot of her own music, both country, and gospel. She worked with Gary Sadker, at Red Ridge Entertainment in Nashville, on the release of her debut CD, “Calls Me Beautiful”, in late 2017.
In 2017, she won first place at the Delta Fair. In 2015 and 2016, Lydia was selected as a rising star of Germantown, Tennessee. She also won second place at the Delta Fair senior division (age 13 – 28) competition in Memphis, Tennessee. Those same two years, she also made the finals for the Mid South Fair.
Lydia is a member of the All South West Tennessee Choir and has been the Second Soprano for the last four years. She performs on a regular basis all around Nashville and the surrounding areas and has also performed at the V3 Fights, Memphis International Raceway, FedEx Forum for the Memphis Grizzlies, GPAC, Memphis Red Birds, Germantown Charity Horse Show and numerous other venues.
